Route4Green
Replenishment process (Intra Logistics)
Ensure the picking area is never out of stock maintaining the speed and efficiency of outbound operations.
Replenishment Process
Step 1: Replenishment Trigger
The system automatically triggers replenishment tasks based on predefined thresholds:
- Trigger by minimum/maximum inventory levels
- Trigger by order demand
Step 2: Optimal Replenishment Planning
The software (e.g., Route4Green) calculates:
- Where to retrieve stock from.
- Which pick location to replenish.
- How much to replenish.
- Which tasks to prioritize.
Step 3: Task Assignment & Execution
- The system automatically assigns tasks
- Instructions are sent to mobile devices
- Operators move to the source location, pick the correct quantity, and deliver to the pick zone.
Step 4: Confirmation & Update
- Barcode scanning confirms task completion.
- Updates the system in real time
Business Benefits
Operations
Eliminate stockouts in the pick zone: Pickers never have to pause work to wait for replenishment or fetch items from high racks themselves.
Productivity
Boost overall productivity: Both replenishment and picking staff work more efficiently with optimized planning.
Optimization
Optimize pick zone space: Replenish only the necessary quantity to avoid wasting valuable shelf space.
Storage
Reduce congestion in main storage areas: Goods are retrieved from high racks in a sequenced plan preventing bottlenecks at inbound docks or upper storage zones.
